Did some long range doe management this evening filling my last tag. Between the wife and I the freezer is full. [Linked Image]

That's reaching out and touching them! Do you salt your bullets so the meat don't spoil by the time you walk over there?

. Sam, it was a shorter walk to the sxs than it was to the deer.

I like killing them up close, sneaking through the brush. But the older I get, the more your style of filling the freezer makes sense to me. Congratulations on making meat bud.

Thanks Sam. I’ve done it both ways and I found both very satisfying. Eric

Cool! Y’all ever do any hunting?

That’s some decent shooting though.

It’s deer hunting, not deer passing.

If I have a tag, I’m ready to drag.

Yeah! Thats shooting. Not hunting. It’s an impressive distance on a live target though, and takes skill so congratulations on the shot.

But don’t kid yourself, there was no “hunting” involved.

A guy smoked a deer 547 yards and you're ragging on him? I knew you were small, but not THAT small.

lol, you’re so dumb.

No, that is an impressive shot. And I think it’s awesome he filled his freezer.

And good for him on the awesome shooting, but it is shooting, not hunting.

Have you considered growing up and using some critical thinking skills?

I guess that is your opinion. I view things a bit different. Hunting for thrill (something most people grow out of fairly early), hunting for meat, or hunting for management. I think the three are sort of a natural progression. I hunt solely for meat at this point, but expect someday I'll advance to hunting for management. You're a step behind, at hunting for thrill....and that's okay. Many people try to extend that stage for most of their lives.... and that's okay too. Gun, to blackpowder, to crossbow.... to compound bow, to recurve, to longbow, to atlatl lol...... In fact, I maybe sort of envy people that can get that worked up over shooting a dumb deer, lol. Once you get beyond that point, it's just hunting as a means to an end.... either to fill your freezer or, help the population. You are still fairly young... you'll get there someday.
