No on the RR tracks, but we used to live near some and there were a lot of rabbits around there.

Recipe sounds good.

Rabbit jerky just out of the dehydrator, man is it good. Used my favorite Hi-Mountain jerky mix and I added a little cayenne to the whole jerky too. Very good!

We have a perfect amount of snow right now for brush stomping or running a hound both of which I used to do alot when I was younger. Might have to get out the Ruger 10/22 .

Over here in Illinois it's illegal to hunt the tracks there's still people that do it though.

With all this snow its easy to see rabbits sitting in the brush and such and head shoot them with a .22. I like to drive around and look for spots out of the wind and in the sun and pop them where they sit. (Not out the truck window - that would be illegal, of course)...

You gotta be careful Trapdog, there's enough snow to cover up some pretty nasty stuff in the ditches. Barbed wire, fence posts, culverts, them dang punji sticks caused by the county chopping trees, etc...

That is a good point and a good reminder to be careful.
Have been shooting a few Roy, but haven't taken any pictures.
I should go out this afternoon. Cold, calm and sunny are ideal conditions for rabbits to be sitting and soaking up some sun.
