What does crab usually cost for you guys up in Alaska? I was wanting to buy some King crab, but it's over $100 a pound.

Who actually pays over $100 for crab meat? shocked Actually, I guess the shell is part of the price too.

A friend that fished red king crab last month paid $50 lb for cooked and boxed from the processor they delivered to. That’s basically at cost.In the stores it’s $65-80 lb. Dock prices are high. I heard crewshares on the brown crab boats ( golden king crab) were upwards of 400K last season. Only a handful of boats have the permits for that fishery and quotas are high. Browns live deep-3-400 fathoms, on very steep edges so they are less susceptible to trawl net bycatch

That's pretty cool Mike. The best I can do here is crawdads.
