Another porcupine in a coyote remake today. Originally was a blind trail set. Became a flat set after the coyote catch.

Thanks that's the idea. This one was a rubbed already on the shoulders and back. Hoping it's just a fluke but I'm planning on pulling all coyote sets by first week of January anyway. Then it will be beaver, muskrats and cats if I can find a cat in my region. Only been 1 caught so far in Region 6.

Been slow but picked up another coyote and porcupine on Saturday. No pics, too cold to take the phone out and fuss with it. Tonight put in a couple more sets, a blind set on coyote tracks on a trail and this double punch hole flat set in a mat of reeds along a two track.

Male coyote this morning caught in a remake. There were lots of turds there from this dog and the previous one so remade as a walk thru with the turds and the original tbone. Added a little of Seth's lure to the tbone.

Had a fun day following coyote and fox tracks on frozen sloughs on one of the areas I'm trapping. Explains why it has been slowing down in that area. They seem to be exclusively traveling the slough bottoms and tops right above the sloughs. Put in a couple sets but will be pulling the dozen coyote sets I have out next weekend. Here's some pics from today.

Coyote, fox and rabbit tracks:

Flat set I put in on sign:

Coyote tracks but the drag mark that starts and stops is puzzling. Possibly carrying something?[Linked Image]
