Does the river freeze over in Chamberlain area? If so, how much ice fishing gets done on it?

The lake I’m on is open in spots and there’s no current. Chamberlain has a swift current because of the bridge ripraps that blocks the flow of the river by 3/4 that 1/4 opening is swift. Fort Thompson has some still water spots away from the spillway it’s just not the place to go yet with the warm temps we have had so far.
