There's video out now of Pretti's gun being removed by an ICE agent, in clear view of the ICE agent that shot him. In other words, the ICE agent that shot him already saw that Pretti was disarmed, before he fired his shots.

I'd like to know the history of that fairly expensive rig. I'm not up on recent prices of pistols, but someone told me that Sig is a $1,000 purchase. Does this guy look like someone that would spend a grand on the pistol. Maybe he carried a 9mm for a "bear pistol".

They all do. The same guy or two spends all day finding something controversial to post, the same 2 or 3 guys come in and troll to antagonize the same few others. I suppose the ICE agent that shot could argue that he didn't know he was unarmed in the heat of the moment for the first shot. I could believe that,. But I think he'd have a hard time convincing a jury of shots 2-5.

Not that I think it will go to a jury, or course. It'll be the usual "we investigated ourselves and found no evidence of wrongdoing".

Loosegoose, your video is inconclusive. If that's a pistol (different color than the Sig shown but it could be the shadow) why isn't Pretti carrying it up and down in his belt instead of side ways..? If that's Pretti a few seconds later, why does he appear to be wearing a vest similar to the fed LEOS?

By the way, the Border Patrol commander said it was one of theirs, not ICE. But its doesn't matter because the fed LEOs are always out manned by the protestors who swarm their operations.

P.S. I just heard a Nassau County, NY (right to the east of NYC) commissioner say that his county law enforcement just gave over 47 (double) criminal illegals to the feds without any issues. Imagine that. I suspect that the NY governor didn't even know about it. She'll probably charge the Nassau County people with state crimes for violating New York's state sanctuary "law".

If he was standing on a corner with a pistol on his side and peacefully protesting a federal grievance or infringement then any LE would be wrong for taking his gun. But he was not peaceful. Do you honestly think, according to the short video that we see, that he was just a poor innocent bystander attacked by ICE randomly? There is more to this story. It will come out eventually.

Try to look at all sides. Peaceful, good and constitutionally protected. Violent, not good. But violent protest can be justified if the government is being tyrannical. The government in ICE capacity is not being tyrannical. It's uncomfortable, but not tyrannical.

Try to keep things separated and in perspective.

If ICE saw him while he was standing on the sidewalk minding his own business, and attacked and tackled him for no reason other than he had a gun on his side, yes I will change my mind.

The video reminded me of gang tackle in football. It was hard to tell what was going on under the pile. Somebody sure was beating on somebody in the pile before they all abandoned the ball carrier after the shootin.

The pepper spray must have made wrestling a little painful for everybody and visually limited.

ICE was in the process of trying to arrest Jose Huerta-Churma, an illegal from Ecuador....Petti decided to impede that mission.....with a weapon...carrying illegally without ID.....Petti then resisted arrest for interfering with a law enforcement activity.....fighting multiple law enforcement.....with a weapon on his hip....one of the law enforcement officers can be heard yelling "gun"...Petti continued to resist...this is all in a matter of seconds....law enforcement is not required to be shot first or to understand what other law enforcement officers are thinking .......they hear gun and this clown is STILL resisting......Petti's gun discharges after it's pulled from the holster ....so...Mr law enforcement specialist.....did he have more than one gun? Did you know that within seconds? He lost his life based on his CHOICES AND STUPIDITY......both of which he was free to do and to obviously put on display......He fought the Law and the Law Won....his stupid choice....it's always nice when the trash takes itself out..now...go cry and clutch your pearls ...haaarrrder!
