That looks like it would be good spring/fall wood. Should burn hot and fast to take the chill out, but not burn all day and run ya out. Looks a little too far gone for all night type wood, unless you sleep next to the stove and feed it every few hours. lol

We use a lot of “too far gone” cottonwood for spring/fall wood. Seem to have an unlimited supply of it around here. I save the hardwood and better cottonwood for 24hr winter heating.

Looks like it split pretty good, I thought it would have been stringy, but with it being cold wood does split better.
