I'm trapping a 2 acre pond that was created by beaver. Approximately, how far apart should you place castor mound sets? I've put in a few along with crossover and blind sets. Thanks for any advice.

Really hard to say without seeing things...according to the lay of the land. Pick easiest spot that has a natural funnel to it. Play the wind...set downwind if possible.

I just space them far enough apart that they can't reach each other when caught. I caught three of them one night on a stretch of 50 yards or less.

Thanks fellas. I've tried covering all the wind conditions by setting around the whole pond.

i try to set natural travel corridors the first couple of nights with no scent used because than i can use other options if i spook one or they become shy of 330
day 1 and 2 natural travel ways (crossovers, channel sets, kicking the dam open and guarding with a 330 even setting the den )
day 3and 4 castor mound sets if im seeing activity but not catcching anything or had sets tripped
and if i need too i go to legholds guarding those castor mounds if i find that they are going around a 330
