My Winchesters get receiver sights, mostly Williams but a few Lymans. I have a few Marlins with scopes. Got some Skinners on my Henrys. Those are nice too

Wolfie - Not sure you're getting the difference between the Win top eject vs angle vs Marlin true side eject.

Is one of the reasons or the total reason why Winchester went to angle eject is allow a cross bolt safety or to allow a scope to be mounted easier? To me no hammer gun should have a safety. The exception would be the 1911 Colts.
