I tend to avoid people that don't own their own rifles.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Just put a good functioning scope on it and don't post pictures of it on here and you'll be good to go. Midway has a Vortex Vanquish 4-12x40 for $99.99 on sale, free shipping.

I don't think they look stupid myself.

I've got a grandson that has never met a button he wouldn't push. He is a holy terror in these modern cars with all the bells and whistles. I swear he needs to be handcuffed around anything with a switch, lever, or button.

I think Savell makes two of us. I've seen his lever guns' pictures.

Yeah but he is from Texas and they play by their own rules down there. I was referring to us housebroke Midwesterners.

For excellent aperture / peep sights, look at Skinner Sights.

Swap the Winchester 94 for a Marlin 336 for a .30-.30 side ejection as in your photos. Or even better go with a Marlin 1895 in .45-70.

I drive a 1950 Chevrolet pickup and my fat neighbor is crazy about it and wants one.
Problem is, if he could squeeze in behind the steering wheel, he wouldn't be able to breathe, let alone steer.
Your dad can't focus on the front site of a rifle. He needs a different gun that more readily accepts a scope which doesn't look as gay as what some peckers I know shoot.
(Probly gonna find out directly what the limitations of the use of the word "pecker" is in here. smile )

I'd say tinker toys but you wouldn't get that reference, lol.

You forgot Lincoln Logs, still remember the taste of them.
