I seen I had porky the landowner wants them gone so I shot down there to get it and do a physical check, 3 days remaining in this season. Checked the cams when I got back today and see that a yote went through this morning.


I have snares on both sides of it but it went up the bank and not down the creek probably trying to avoid the gumbo.

Pulled East River today a day early I need to take the wife to lunch tomorrow after I pull West River.

Intersection where a side draw connects to the creek. Many places are impassable for a human to get through the cedars it would rip you up trying.

I might have a yote in a snare I’ll be pulling tomorrow but there’s a crawl under snare under that log (lower right) he went around that spot the other day just a travel route no bait. It’s strange he’s in the same spot and the cams been taking a lot of photos today its sensing it’s movements. It can take all the pic it want until I get there they get shut off tomorrow anyway.

Influx of coyotes the last several days lone dogs showing up this one came through after midnight.

Pulled out the last day of the season snared another male yote going under that log to the left.

Boy no entanglement there!!(The Pa law) ha ha nice location.....jk

Not many silly snare rules here very few rules that we have to deal with. LOL The warm weather is no help they bloat quickly and eagles will pick holes in them if the see them in the open but that spot was too good to pass up. These yotes are very low quality dark and wooly often mangy but the landowner is a big deer/turkey hunter plus he raises longhorns no love for the song dogs.

Only good song dog is a dead one.

10 years ago it was tough finding one that did not have the mange they were hit hard with it back then. I’d like to get some put up but the heat’s not helping any, 60 degrees is not trapping weather this heat is crazy the skunks are still carrying fall fat thickness big old slabs on them.
