They know! They expect the lawsuits and lawsuits cost big money. They also know that non gun owners out number gun owners; bring enough law suits and one of two things will happen: either gun owners eventually get tired of defending the second amendment or they run out of money defending it. The anti gun organizations have bigger coffers, richer sponsors and time.
