Haha, I also hated the bruins as I was a Habs fan as a kid. Loved it when Chris Nilan moved to the other side. I especially hated Marchand (unless he was wearing a Team Canada jersey lol). After I found out more about him, I love the friggin guy. Big outdoorsman, I even bought one of his March & Mill Co teeshirts. A lot of pro hockey players are big into hunting & fishing. My trapping partner played semi pro in the East Coat league and a lot of them wanted him to hook them up with hunts after his shoulder finally blew out for good. Hockey gets in the way of their hunting but they have a blast after they retire. Look at Byfuglien, living the dream.

I believe Paul would like to be the benevolent pacifist captain of this ship/gathering. But I don't believe his vision for the group is possible without removal of the people causing the problems. Some people devote almost all their posts to agitating or degrading others. I don't believe there's any chance some of them stop. Some may change their spots, but some cannot and will not.

My opinion we are on shaky ground, because I doubt much changes.

The real question is, are these events related?

We didn't have as much world conflict as we do now.
Because it's now in our country.
We as Americans have love of country and will fight for our country.
Some seem to feel it's OK for other countries to interfere with our country's laws and beliefs , customs and such.
When someone tries to destroy our foundation, we get edgy .
As far as college students being so ignorant, it's the infiltration of anti-Americans that are teaching in all of our education systems , from pre school up.
Just my humble opinion.

If we ignore it, it gets worse.
Some of us see it in every country right now.

I doubt we solve world events on Tman, lol. Probably some other forums out there to discuss that stuff, not saying anything about it here i doubt is going to cause the whole country to go into ruin.
