There should be no forms to purchase a firearm. No questions. No requirements. No prohibitions.
The Feds should not "deem" whether I am able or unable to purchase, own, sell or carry a firearm.
The 2A says what it says--"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Does that include felons, and illegals to the country? Felons, if still deemed untrustworthy to exercise all rights then why are they out of a cage? Seriously, we operate in society based upon trust and we should be a high trust society. By releasing untrustworthy, as evidenced by the creation of a permanent non citizen class (without full rights you are not a citizen), individuals into society you create a low society that is corrosive to the common good. Might have been the plan all along? Also if you knew the racial, social, and cultural roots of stripping felons of rights and what constituted a felony then you would understand just how abhorrent such practice is. Illegals are not citizens, while they may inherently possess the right to self defense as endowed by their Creator they do not enjoy the free exercise thereof when in the commission of a crime. The very nature of being inside the country in opposition to established law is an active commission of a crime.

Depends on the felony , if it's a white collar crime , it depends on just how evil it was. If a gun was involved, you can't keep them in prison forever. I know people of both, and to be honest the one with gun charges, is no longer an acquaintance. I can't trust them, and keep them out of my life. That's not saying all of them are untrustworthy , just that one as far as I'm concerned , as I know them and seen their ignorance.

Well, if you can't keep them in prison forever and they're still not trustworthy, then they should hang them.
IMO, there should be a long list of crimes that are beyond the pale and result in automatic death upon conviction. And it should be public to serve as an example. There should be no such thing as a life sentence. Everything else deemed an opportunity for reform and if so reformed restored to society with full rights. I can agree , bring back the death penalty . Just saying sometimes people do stupid things, not all villains are pure evil. I'm no angel , but I wouldn't commit murder either, but if I had to, would kill to protect myself and family. It's very hard to believe anyone hasn't done something stupid , that they regret , and pure luck got away with it. Bet there's a lot on this site, that drove under the influence , and luckily got away with it. Got in a fight years ago, when it wasn't a big deal, that today could be a felony. We were a different breed back in the day.

We were a different breed back in the day. Im of the opinion if they have been deemed to be safe enough to let back out on the street they have the same right to self defense as everyone else. If they cant be trusted with that they should not be let out on the street. I also think erosion and jails are to soft. Should be hard physical labor day in and day out thet benefits tax payers. Not working on a free collage degree, weight lifting room and cable TV. Jail and prison should be feared. Not be living conditions that 3rd word countries would see as a vacation.

If it were this way I don't really figure there would be much argument in restoring rights of convicted felonies.
