I’m losing my taste for steak.
Seems like I’m craving chicken more and more, either a mess of wings or thighs or a whole bird. Rarely just chicken breast satisfies. That’s for casseroles only

For many years, I was a 7-8... over the past decade or so I worked my way up to 4-5 and really do enjoy that more. Not too long ago, I cooked a thick steak and it ended up being more 2-3........ and while I did eat it that way.... I honestly didn't enjoy it much so back to 4-5 for me lol.

3 or 4. Won't send it back if 1 to 5. I'm not real picky.

I'm ok with anything between 3 and 5. 4 is perfect. I usually order medium and hope for the best I find if I order medium rare it usually comes out dang near raw and if I order medium well it comes out as shoe leather.

Rare enough to beg me for mercy.

If it's a good steak, I always go for 1 or less. I love raw beef as well.

If you go to a great restaurant and order beef carpaccio, what's the difference.

If it is a mediocre steak I'll go to 2 or 3 max.

We were at a steak place , recently, that offered a "black and blue". Essentially, a cut is placed on a really hot skillet and flipped . Charred outside and very rare inside.

It was phenomenal.

A good country vet can get a properly cooked steak back on it's feet

Was always a 1, 2, 3 guy for everything and still am for the most part my one new exception is rib steak and now I get them medium. Just due to fat content and marbling they are better at medium in my opinion.
