I'm all for women in the infantry. As long as they are held to the same standards as the men. And they are not! Their standards for the APFT were/are lower than the mens. Example, when I was in the army, they had to do less push ups, less sit ups, and didn't have to run as fast on the 2 mile to score the same as the men. Same standards, sure have at it.
Guy I work with was a medic. Said a lot of women end up with hip and other factors doing basic things.
Men and women have different bone density, lung capacity and muscle mass. We are build different for different purposes. One is not better than the other two parts of the system. Is there some overlap yes. Can some men do typically feminine things better and some women out do some men bot at limited task yes.
Like it or not break it down to basic biology. Women are more valuable to the species. Men are expendable.. eggs are expensive sperms is cheap. A single man can father hundreds of children in a short time. Ladies are limited to what 12 to 13 in a life time with hard toll on their bodies.
Anyone with comom since wants to protect women and provide safety and comfort to them. It should be ingrained in any and every man's DNA. Not becuse women are not capable but DNA thats part of a man's job and we are purposes built for it. I guess its no surprise in our time of weak soy boy simps so many would think women in combat would be a good idea.
How about logistical sanitation issues and a 28 day ever changing hormone cycle in the field. Mots guys I meet that were in the service that thought it was a good idea were in motorized units doing very little to nothing walking or packing for extended missions. And even they eventually agreed after sone conversation combat is better for men.
And like someone above said women in the mil general fall into 2 camps i will add a 3rd . Very friendly with the boys a low level mid female gets the attent of a 10 with limited supply of women and lots of young men. Man hating dike/ feminist and/or ball busting career soldier with chip on her with a need to prove they got to their position on merit not DEI or sleeping with the right people.
