Yep good interesting video. Can you show us a photo of the frame with both traps on it. We are only allowed 2 330s so that is not much value to us in most of Pa.......jk

jk just look at some of his other video clips for his stand mods.
One weld he used USA steel and it broke but not the other side with Canadian steel.

I don’t think the weld letting go had anything to do with the steel………lol.

I’m gonna get Becca to reweld mine up a bit…….but I’ll tell ya, a good welder and quality helmet can make a dummy look pretty good!
A regular tall H stand should work just fine, it’s all we’ve used until this year. This particular spot we knew was very deep at the lodge so I made these up. The extended stands were nice for winter beaver even in the shallower spots too. The previous years, all our double catches were off regular tall stands, but sometimes the stand wasn’t even touching the bottom because of ice/snow thickness and I absolutely hate chipping out beaver that are frozen to the top……..but sometimes it’s unavoidable. The tension after closing the stand was enough to hold the top trap in place. I didn’t slid the 2nd trap in, but you’ll get the picture.
If you’re in a deep channel or at a good entrance that’s probably already blocked off pretty good, that’s when the double catches happen the most.

I’ll do a quick vid……
