I don't think anyone should be able to vote unless they can pass some sort of civics test. Make a test with basic questions regarding how the government works, what a constitutional republic is, what capitalism is, the Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc. Whoever can pass it can vote, regardless of gender.

How about we restrict voting for those that are called to war through selective service? When I turned 18 it was mandatory for me to sign up.. was it the same for you? heck I'm reasonable.. lets say only property owners?

If males are still required to sign up, then females absolutely should be as well if they are gonna be allowed to serve!

I'm not convinced on the property owner thing... a lot of highly successful business men and entrepreneurs live in apartments due to where they work.

I liked your other idea better before you deleted it... I'd prefer to see it limited to service members/veterans before I would property owners.

Still? what world are you living in? to this day once a young man reaches the age of 18 they are required to sign up, were you required to sign up? "I see you've chosen not to answer this" My wife is a 10 year veteran, there should be absolutely carveouts for those who have choose to serve..

Why would I answer a question you already know the answer to? Of course I was not required to sign up for selective service, and I am saying that is wrong.... I agree with you. If women are to be allowed in the military they absolutely should have to as well.

I think it would be better for them to have to sign up for selective service, even if they won't be placed in combat roles, than to not have to sign up at all, even if it is not the ideal solution. As it stands now, if women were to have to sign up for selective service, they would also be eligible to serve in combat roles....

What is your solution?
