Did you know that prior to WW1, folks who needed a colostomy usually died. The practice became more common after WW1 . It wouldn’t be until the 1950’s that a Dutch nurse came up with the disposable system we have today.
Makes me think of how many burials at sea and unmarked graves occurred after someone reported a bellyache and fever. Within 72 hours they’ll go full on septic and die.
Today ? Might be a few days hospitalization. Might be more . But we have the medical knowledge to address it . Surgical and pharmaceutical.
Still doesn’t diminish our Father. He’s right in the middle of it all. Aaron, should humans get cancer? This thread is going full spectrum..

Also.... I suppose I may have a few feminist ideas in my head, as I am sure most all women do if they are honest, but I in NO WAY consider myself a feminist. I'm quite traditional in most things.... I find the comment of "most things" quite funny..lol, no shade though.. we are a product of our environment until we decide not to be.. and to bring full circle I think that was Sheepdog was trying to attempt. That's just because you don't know me other than my posts on here. Those that know me well would know exactly what I mean.

Yep…in response to Grum’s question.
Why SHOULDN’T we get cancer ? We were born into a sinful world, borne from and with original sin. Cancer is one of the many we’ve inherited. I hate it. I hate the fact we have to endure it. But it is a consequence.
Incidentally, cancer isn’t always the assumed death sentence, anymore. Still a very scary diagnosis. But not always condemnation, either.

I've read more about the civil war than probably any other war but never came across anything about opium. Granted, even my reading of civil war material is not all that extensive. I'll remember that for if it ever comes up on Jeopardy, lol.

You're not going to like my answer, how about we understand our quality's, our abilities? Understanding the difference between the sexes? There's a difference from serving as a magistrate and a grunt on the front lines.. To honest, you've been lied to through you life, the only rights you have are from men's benevolence.. That's tough one... but am I wrong? Now, I skipped this question, until you answered mine but now that you did... I will. I suppose in the truest since, you are not wrong. I find benevolence to be a rather arrogant way to put it though. Most men are certainly physically stronger than most women. That is a simple fact of science. If men did not want women to work..... or vote..... or join the military..... they could have simply beat us into submission and kept us locked in a bedroom....que The Yellow Wallpaper here..... so in that context... you are right. But ya know.... I sorta like my rights. Some I would give up if I believed it was for the betterment of the country. But some I certainly would not.... and if anyone, man or woman, wants to take them from me.... well they better be a better shot than I am.

Honest question, is cancer the will of the Father? Is it so we can learn a lessen? Is it punishment? I just want to know... That hook has lost its worm . I have bird dogs who “love” and are very loyal to me . Tripp and Piper. I don’t have to physically discipline them anymore , a simple ‘no’ will suffice. So , when I return from the store with their food , I don’t explain to them why I returned home with food. I’m not going to explain the internal combustion engine that got me there nor currency/goods exchange. Welp. That’s how I feel about our Father. Pretend to know His will ? Especially an affliction that knows no boundaries in any sense? Thank you , no. That’s too big to me, bud. That’d be like trying to explain the engine to German Shorthair Pointer . “ I love you, Father ! But I don’t get it …so, whatever.”. I’m trying to be a good dog.

Araron I appreciate your reply but its a bit of a stretch for me to bring my relationships with my dog with my relationship with the creator of everything.. you've failed to answer my question... is cancer the will of the Father? (capital F)
I'm a upland guy who lives in pheasant country (maybe the best in the country) and to be honest I wouldn't trade any human relationship with the relationship I have with my dogs but at the end of the day they're just dogs..
I'm willing to give my salvation testament if you all interested to here..
