None of this makes sense. The information was available real time at NAFA. I don't need it real time, just timely. It used to be timely. They really should be able to put those sold catalogs on the website within a week after the Auction, if not even sooner.

Perhaps after the historic high sale FHA can invest in some upgrades?

I don't think it takes any investment to post the sold catalog on their website. They are not doing it for a reason. I could be wrong, but I believe registered buyers can see this right now. There could be a strategery for not posting the sold catalog after the sale? If this is to my benefit?

BTW this is on the website: " Click here to watch a video clip from the most successful wild fur auction in history." Almost as good as 2013. except rats, coon, fox, coyotes, otter.......

Better than 2013 cats and marten.

I wonder if some sales adjustments take place after a sale so they wait on those for the final sold catalogue printout? Maybe Nancy know how long of a grace period buyers are allowed to cancel a bid mistake.

I'll tell you a story. FHA used to not post the sold catalog on their website. We bitched about it on T-man and Wa La! it started happening. BTW it ain't prompt date! smile

As a general rule, once the auctioneers page leaves the stand, that lot is sold for the hammer price. You bought that lot. If you make a mistake, the time to say so is in the auction room. If you listen to the live auction, you will hear buyers say “I made a mistake”. The auctioneer takes back that lot and resells it.

I have witnessed several occasions where the buyer is in the PT room after the auction trying to give back lots that he bought. The answer has always been TS. You bought it, you own it. They will offer to resell those lots at the next auction. You are still responsible for paying the difference if it sells for less the second time.

Now, if you are a major buyer and spend LOTS of money, I’m sure they will bend the rules for you, unless it becomes a habit. FH can’t afford to upset a big buyer over one mistake. I have no idea how FH determines who gets special privileges.

Well, it was fun going over the sold cat lots. I can see that for my section of cats (B-C bellies semi to hvy western or central) prices are almost uniform in the $300-$400 range. That bodes well for my 21 cats on the June sale. smile
