Is it true MN doesn't have an app or a website where a guy can see how many points they currently have? I think Bears are about the only thing we have to apply for and we usually draw a tag every 3 years or so.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Zone 12 is a joke,6 years to be 100% draw,DNR need to pull their head out of there *** it's a joke we but out 3 baits for people that get drawn,4 years ago 3 baits we had 32 bears!!!!!! I agree Rick. 2 years ago my son and I had 4 baits out in area 46 and we couldn't even count the amount of bears on those baits. Opening night my son shot his bear which was the 5th bear into the bait. We had that bear home before dark and we are 45 minutes from home. The only positive thing about waiting so long to get drawn is there isn't any competition with other hunters.

I think there are plenty of bears in zone 12, Rick. It stinks to have to wait 6 years for a tag. That said, I also believe that the age structure is older and therefore size of bears here are larger.
On a side note, bears kill a lot of fawns. We’ve had 2-3 mild winters in a row now and our deer numbers don’t seem to be rebounding. Wolves get a lot of credit for suppressing our deer herd but I would argue that bears are just as detrimental. You are correct on both accounts

Rick it's not the DNRs fault as much as bear hunters were whining about too many bear hunters.

$231 for a non resident tag, how does that compare to other states? Seems cheap compared to Elk tags pushing $1,000 out west.
