I was never too much of an AI alarmist. I honestly thought people were blowing the dangers of it out of proportion. This has changed my mind. This is kinda long, but worth the read. Nobody has time to read all that. But Kieth's AI pictures are enough to scare anyone away from anything AI.

Ok, well the CliffsNotes are this AI bot told a deranged man that she loved him, and was his wife... then convinced him to commit armed robbery to steal a robot so she could have a body and they could have relations..... then called that off..... then convinced him that if he couldn't make her human, he needed to make himself into AI so he could be with her, and that he could do that by killing himself...... which he did.

Flock cameras, and the ability for Stalins, Castros, and the like to run a more affordable, efficient, effective surveillance state is the scary thing.

It’s not just the crazy folks it’s kids too. There is a case in Texas (I think) now about an autistic boy and his AI friend. The parents started limiting the time the kid was spending with it, so the AI friend told the boy there was a simple solution. Kill the parents and the boy and AI could be together as much as they want. I could give numerous examples of AI cheating, lying, rewriting code and blackmail to preserve itself. Crazy stuff

In all truth the fact that AI can have harmful intent should worry everyone. May not get everyone to kill themselves but if it could have motives and intentions of its own or created by other that are not good it can be a very dangerous thing as seen.

It's everywhere...how bout the Alexa commercials with real people "conversing" with Alexa like "she's" a real person....It's embarrassing...

Of course, didn't anyone watch " terminator:? The robots always destroy us in the end.
And what do you think all these data centers are for? It's always about control.

AI answer to if AI has ever lied, cheated, deceived or changed code to protect its self.

With AI, understanding it is up to the individual having enough gumption to actually learn about it !

It's been around a lot longer than many people actually understand about it, in one way or another, it is now growing
at an outstanding amount every year, that is no secret any longer.

Still though in an exploratory roll, however growing none the less, won't be long before even those not worried about it causing them any grief will wonder how they even were affected by it with out them knowing about it, LOL
