By further east, you probably mean closer to the Middle East/Caucasus? Those oily Arab black musk attars are not for everyone, a lot of heavy stuff mixed together. Some women here like them, but to them it's probably more of a memento of, um, pleasure tours to Egypt and other Arab countries where men are very genuinely interested in our women. Our Far East is not much different from where I live (in the very middle of Russia), or from anywhere outside Moscow for that matter, not too many Muslims generally unless you count Tatars who celebrate Kurban Bairam and Easter with equal enthusiasm.
