It's in the water, Steve. I reached for a dls, and the boys threw a fit. Lol.
Now that I think about it, that's a pretty valuable piece of steel to leave out there.

The traps is worth little the boys smiles are priceless. Remind when I see you guys again I have a pretty neat gopher trap for the boys.

I even set nine traps today. Might have lost my mind lol. Too cold to fish.

Sounds good Steve, they'll be excited about a gopher trap.
We put out five more traps today. They're looking forward to checking in the morning.

Don't forget the ice chisel. I am going to wait a couple of days and let it warm up a little. I had 19 degrees here this morning.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Me and my assistants have been chasing and catching a few! Ponds finally opened up and we got a little rain and they’re moving good, though the water is still way low in many areas such that ya can’t even run a drowner. Sold my first batch to Matt Carlson yesterday and gave each of the assistants $10 for their picture taking help and for their work shaving the bark on the eye candy sticks!

Seen a few other trappers sets and finally met one nice new fella yesterday! Hoping to give it though at least next weekend depending on things and stuff! Happy trapping! ScottW

Partner and I are chasing them where we find open water. Meeting Dusty in Baxter tonight. With a decent run today I might need the dually for the trip.

Hey Scott! Nice batch of beaver. Are you skinning or selling them to Matt in the grease?

Glad you're able to find help with your beaver line buddy!

Sold first batch in the carcass/round/whole…..whatever they call that in your area! Never sold anything in the carcass before besides a few rats I caught on the way to sell fur one time. It’s bittersweet as right now my shed is a mess and I don’t have much extra time for skinning, and I didn’t plan on skinning since they want the whole carcass and figured I’d give it a whirl, but I KIND OF miss the skinning. Thankfully I have an old milk house that’s been closed up and cold so kinda using that as a cooler. Might skin a few this week that I caught after selling Saturday to be sure they’re good, and to cut off some nice meat for bear bait this fall.

Happy trapping! ScottW

Population is way down where I trap. Water levels are down even more. I'll give them a break.

You're lucky those of you that have that option of selling that way when it's handy. From what I saw of the FHA beaver in March Matt should do OK too.

Picked up a couple more, including the female that I've been after. She was 56 pounds, and nearly as thick as the women that 160user chases. Had seven kits in her. [Linked Image]

LOL. The way George is holding that beaver reminded me of "And I will love him and hug him and squeeze him and call him...... George". Hahaha

Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

Lol, Yote. That's been quoted around him a few times. He likes hugging critters.
