Been watching a few videos of Americans going to their " motherlands " . Mexico , south America , Africa , Europe ect. There usually like a few generations removed ya know . And they always think there gonna have some big reconnection and will just flood back into I there roots or whatever. I think every single one they ended up just hating it because all the locals could tell they where Americans and to them it didn't really matter if you had the heritage , you where just an American. You really dont know the culture ,the language , the actual traditions. All the Hispanic guys I work with our here tell me thats how it is if they go and visit family in Mexico. Shoot my green deck hand is Hispanic and he told me when he goes over to visit family and shop he basically has to have once of his local family with him or other wise it gets a lil messy quick .The black people who go to Africa thinking it's gonna be a utopia are usually some of the best ones lol. I really don't get how it's such a hard concept for people to get that if your from America most of the world just sees you as an American and that's it . Maybe it's because we're so insulated as a country. Wonder if more people traveled out the country and got a wake up call ma he we'd be a lil more united and prideful. Ma he that's what they should start doing , don't like America so much ? Pay for a ticket to the home land , you get there do whatever you want for a month on you done and if you like it there you stay and if you don't you get a flight back and shut up

My family came over as indentured servants. No one made any movies about white slaves. Because that doesn’t fit the liberal white grievance narrative.

I wouldn’t mind traveling to Scotland to see if there is any remains left of the ol’ Crawford castle. However I would not feel as I am finally home there. My home is in Georgia, In the good ol USA. Had a layover over that way on or flight to Kuwait years back . Sat down next to a old guy who saw my last name on my uniform and was kinda excited to chat a lil. Offered to buy me a beer

I think this is evidence that there is an American heritage and culture that is definable and worth protecting. We should not allow for mass immigration because it doesn’t allow for assimilation at all. This includes everyone from European socialists to African Muslims.
Despite what the left and many conservatives want you to think, there’s more to being an American than just the want to make money.

Well I'd have to go back to Germany, and guess what. I can live just fine not going at all. My Dad had to go once when he was in the Army. And aunt and uncle have been there a few times. They even went to Esche house/museum. So some pictures are good by me.
Let me sugar coat this

Your post reminded me of the iconic woman , Bevelyn Beatty. She made history in her opposition of the BLM movement and her tireless support of Pro Life and peacefully protesting abortion clinics. She married Ricky and now is Williams, though I have always liked referring to her as BB.
They made several trips to Africa, and made videos telling how local Africans never believed in calling them African Americans. They were always identified as simply, Americans. No matter what colour a tourist is.
I think all countries refer to visitors as Americans. As it should be.
I despise the term African-American. You're either African or American, not both, regardless of skin color.

I have so many different nationalities in me, there is no one homeland to go back to. Acvording to my DNA test, I'm German, English, Irish, Cornish, Welsh, Scottish, Danish, Norwegian, Dutch, French, Swedish, Swiss, Italian, Cyprian, Greek, Anatolian...
About 75% of me is North West European, so I guess my homeland would be North West Europe, if I had to choose. I'm definitely built to live in a colder climate with little sunlight.
I had ancestors here in 1607 in Jamestown. Almost everyone who made it through the Dying Years and Powhatton Massacre in Jamestown is a grandparent, aunt, uncle or first cousin of mine. 3 ancestors of mine came over in 1620 on the Mayflower. I had 8 aunts and uncles on the Mayflower. John Hancock is my first cousin. William Penn is my uncle. All of the presidents are traceably related to me. I had 284 ancestors here before 1700, so I would say I'm American.

My family came over as indentured servants. No one made any movies about white slaves. Large difference between making the choice to be a slave forever a servent a set time to pay off a debt like passage to the new world vs being forcibly sold and put on the boat, slave for life along with all your future offspring. Today's slavery in America is similar and people dont even understand the chains they put on themselves. Credit card payments, student loans, mortgage, and car loan. Any one or 2 would not be horrible but combined they are a slave with the illusion of freedom. They put the chains on themselves for things and many spend their entire life as a debt slave.

Not uncommon. I think a lot of countries have an inferiority complex regarding the US. I believe most of them know the world would be a very different place if not for the US and it bugs them that they are not a part of US greatness.

When I stepped off the 141 in Riyadh I needed to go pee. I asked the local where the bathroom was. He pointed. I go to it and it is a room. Tile floor and wall. Two 15x8 tiles (roughly) in the middle of the room with a hole in the middle. No flushing, no hand sink, no TP. Nothing. Just a hole and forget AC. Blazing hot and the smell. YIKES!!
When I got out of that sandbox and back to the states, I nearly kissed the ground. It was a culture shock coming back home.
TO THIS DAY, I tremendously appreciate AC, a toilet, clean water, hot water, easily accessible food, a place to wash my hands and TOILET PAPER!!
I sincerely wish every high school graduate had to spend two years in the military with an overseas deployment or six months in a third world country peace corps style.
As WD hoped, it will unify us and make us much more patriotic. When you live in squalor or at least less comfortable for a bit, you appreciate the things we take for granted everyday.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

We got to deal with some of the locals while I was there, One was Humdi and the other was Iftikar. Both were "contract" workers.
Ifffie was our "get it" man. If we needed it, Iffie would get it. He was from Pakistan and was there to support his family.
Humdi worked at the gas station. He took me to his living quarters one day. It was about a 15' square room with cots everywhere. No windows, no AC, nothing. Had a big hookha in the middle which he invited me to partake. I declined. The BO smell was nauseating. Didn't see a shower or sink.
He explained he came from Egypt to work there to send money back home. He was promised a bonus if he worked steady for a year. 12 hour days one day off. He told me on day 364 he and any worker are fired. The next day they bring another one year "bonus" contract to be signed and he is fired again on day 364. He stayed there doing that because it provided for his family and he had no better job in Egypt.
Things are much tougher and evil in other countries. A lot of America deals with feelings that the rest of the world doesn't have time for. The rest of the world is worried about surviving.
Shame how soft this new generation has become. No one to blame but ourselves. Send your kids to tough places and make them struggle. They will appreciate hot water and toilet paper.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?
