I saw a documentary on the Patels last week. They own over 80% of the motels in the US now and over 50% of independent gas stations. They are like locusts eating our country's small businesses. They get grants to purchase the businesses, pay no taxes during the grant period and then then sell the business to a family member, who gets a new grant and also doesn't have to pay taxes. They often don't pay their suppliers and just walk away from their debt, when another family member takes over the indebted business.

I worked with an Indian guy. He grew up in South Africa. Dutch ran the Indians off or something raping and murdering and alot of them ended up in South Africa I guess. Like ran off their rich plantations and started over with nothing in another country kind of thing. Their culture is one where the woman walk behind the men. If you ever said anything joking around about stop acting like a girl or something like that he was ready to curse you out, not fight you, and for a vegetarian fella he sure could curse like an american sailor but was fairly peaceful.

Anyway they moved to USA and he said his wife doesn't listen (to S) anymore. lol. He was was one of the smartest nicest people I know and he tried to teach it to me. I took over his dept at work when they thought he was getting deported.

His type of vegetarian was kinda neat. He couldn't eat eggs b/c it would have became a life but drinking milk was fine b/c its not an embryo. In S Africa they kept bars on the windows to keep monkeys out. Literal monkeys. They were always trying to break into the houses to rob kitchens for food.

There were two types of Indians and I don't remember which was which but they may as well have been black and white in about 1863 as much as the one looks down on and treats the other one. Another guy at work was the other one and I would have been sent to HR for acting like that toward him lol.

Anyway interesting culture. When his guru died which was like his pastor I guess he traveled back and was on sabbatical for a few weeks.

He moved his family to America when he got stabbed in the arm sitting at a stop light with his arm hanging out the window. He said he was at the light with the window down and someone stabbed him through the arm with a screw driver, pulled him out of the car, drove away with his car, and his pistol was in the console but it happened so fast there wasn't anything he could do. He said in South Africa they would pull you out of your car at a stop light, stack tires on you, pour gas on you, and light you on fire. Crazy times.

Anyway, thats the guy I knew.

It's a huge country, lots of different "types" of Indians.... they don't all get along, Here, if you need a GOOD doctor, find an Indian one, they actually seem to care and know their stuff...

We had one as a truck driver a few years ago on the installation. He went into the different regions of India and how each ran motels, some ran convenience stores, others were truck drivers etc.........was very funny and admitted that certain castes of dots were generally performing different jobs and owning different things over here in US. He was hilarious and readily admitted all our stereotypes were so true and he even could see the humor in it. He was a truck driver........said he didn't want to live in a convenience store or motel but owned a house.

Being stuck with kidney failure and under the mediical establishment I see them all over in hosspitals My kidney doctor is from India, Surprise Suprise. But he is one of the most human doctors I have run across. Great gut gut, actually sits and looks mi in the eye and talks to me like I matter. Most doctors have the personallity of a can of tuna, but not him. He even likes to hunt and fish on public land on his own two feet. I got to get the big northern pike in the Missouri and take him fishing, he never caught a big one. He really changed my attitude with some of those folks

My Wife's cancer Doctor is of Indian descent. you could not tell if you were blind. I am not sure how many generations ect....It does not matter.

Not really my experience. I was in the ER a few months ago with some severe dizziness. (turns out I have vertigo). First of all you could not understand anything she was saying. Then she just googled the symptoms and let AI decide what was wrong. Then she googled what to do about it. Sh ended up giving me some meds and told me to go to my Dr.
