They give out market reports and basically tell us what the buyers are looking for. That's why it's kinda like insider trading. There's no secret as to what they want, the buyers want us trapping the fur they need.
They won't give a number but they can inform us that the price is going up, steady or if there's no interest. They can't really give an average number for a species as there's too much variance between sections. They leave that for us to calculate as we know what section most of our fur will be graded as. The sold catalogs are for public viewing off the website for us to use and stay on top of things.

Shakey,not many on here go on the CNTA forum and see the regular updates from FHA at the top.
Of course being on the Canadian forum it is geared to Canadian producers.
They update after each sale when there is a change.

It's been years since I have sent anything to FH,been donating my little catches to our MTA tanned fur project for the last 6,7 years usually 10 to 15 pieces bobcat,marten,coyotes,mink,red fox etc.after seeing the prices of the last sale I sent one marten for the June sale to see if I could get a $300 marten....It graded 1X SELECT HVY BRN 1-2,lot 30051,I don't know what it will bring,but it should be on the high end,we'll know in a few days.I know I donated a decent bobcat that would have graded decent HVY 3X with a B belly and another marten that would have graded Large HVY LT BRN ....Hope everyone does well this week....
