I don’t see the dad as weak. It would take way more strength to restrain yourself so you can be there for the rest of your family.

Each to their own I guess. I probably couldn't live with myself if proper justice wasn't handed down. A father might wind up in the klink for a while, but he'd be able to sleep well knowing that the perpetrator was delt with.

Been thinking on that. Those social events have gotten a really bad rap and an excuse for made up grudges to justify the very behaviors that caused the social events in the first place. Most all of them if you look hard enough have an actual bad act committed by the guest of honor.

Dig into Emmett Till and see just how he behaved towards women.
