The U.S. really does not have to make a deal to open the straight. It was open just a few short months ago. The U.S. could open it by force ( meaning some U.S. casualties and more money wasted), or the U.S. could leave and it would likely open. The U.S. is applying the force to get Iran to do what the U.S. wants.

Boy, I’ll tell ya, these “ total unconditional surrenders” have sure changed since V-E and V-J Days in 1945.

Although Trump is willing to bomb Iran, unlike past administrations both D and R, he isn't the man to finish the job. Inaction on BLM riots or MN immigration enforcement obstruction proves that. I support his actions of killing Islamist who kill and sponsor the killing of Americans. However, the Iranians may play nice for awhile but if the midterms follow historical trends they will be back to their shenanigans come January of next year.
