I am trying to find a replacement pan for a Montgomery Step-in 1 1/2 trap. This trap is the kind with the bolt on the pan to limit travel. I have looked all over and keep striking out. These traps are special to me as they were my fathers and would like to get them in working order die and wax them. Thanks for any help with this.

Dogless or dog on? I assume square jaw with rectangular pan?

Are you sure those have a bolt on pan to limit travel? I don’t recall dogless Montgomery 1 1/2 had that feature.

That type of pan was not very popular and was discontinued after the first couple of years. Might be difficult to find.

You might try Keith Winkler at Sterling Fur. He some times has hard to find trap parts.

The wolf creek dogless uses a monty pan with bolt under. They are only made in a #2, and #3 I wish they made a 1.5 and #4 as well. Not sure if it's an exact enough copy to swap onto a monty, though.

The levers, jaws, and springs are northwoods copies.
