11. (1) A trapping licence may be issued to a resident or a Canadian citizen. O. Reg. 667/98, s. 11 (1).
(2) A trapping licence may be issued to an applicant who is 16 years of age or older if the applicant,
(a) holds an outdoors card issued under Ontario Regulation 665/98 (Hunting) made under the Act;
(b) has successfully completed the fur harvest, fur management and conservation course described under section 16 within the five-year period preceding the application and produces a certificate to that effect; and
(c) meets the requirements set out in section 11 or 12 of Ontario Regulation 665/98 (Hunting). O. Reg. 547/17, s. 1 (1).
Looks like you could go get a registered line in Ontario if you go through all these hoops?
P.S. The regulations are pretty complicated up there ( down for me) in the land of freedom.

I doubt most Americans could fit in here or be able to handle the physical rigors of living here. Long cold wnters here would finish 90% of you. You need to be more self sufficient to live in the north, you have to be able to fend for yourself a lot more. I spend most of my time north of the majority of Canadians. Get over yourself.

You would have to file tax’s in Canada on your worldly income ,,,and likely pay taxes
you could come up and work half the year, then collect pogey for the nearly the other half and consider yourself “self sufficient” lol
There would be no taxes on money earned outside Canada from my understanding.

You need to be more self sufficient to live in the north, you have to be able to fend for yourself a lot more. Hard to disagree with that, but most Americans live in cities, just like most Canadians. I live at just under 8000' in the high Rocky Mountains, and my closest neighbor is almost a mile away. So, I'd say your statement is true for both countries. I bet you'd be breathing hard with the hind quarter of an elk on a pack frame, and a mile or better hike back to the vehicle. And, we average 300-350" of snow a year (but last winter was a big exception). So, in summation, Most all of us are the weenies you describe Boco, not everyone is Tarzan like you and I.

I would freeze in canada and sucking wind and altitude sick at your hight above see level. Guess I need to stick with short shuffle's (walks) on the beach. But I still dont live in a city. That would kill me faster than canada or the Elevation.

Yep,cold toughens a race and induces vigor, heat softens people and induces laziness.. Come on down Boco. Working in the August sun will test your manhood. As for cold, I've seen Alaskans shiver on a cold and humid day down in these parts.

Cheap or free medical care if you don't mind waiting for it, depending on where you are in Canada. You gotta live here to get that. We could probably use your vote! …….lol I know a bunch of duals. They were born in the US, but live in Canada. The US was the closest hospital…..back then, they didn’t seem to care much about borders.

Depends on your income
Notice how it sez “most”
You’ll still have to file tax’s in Canada,,if you have Canadain citizenship
Even if you don’t set foot in Canada
So,,,,, yes there are tax implications
