I'm a producer of 100% organic venison & wild turkey. My methods ensure a good supply of product for family & friends....lol

It's not difficult to be a decent otter trapper when you had access to thousands of acres of streams, creeks, rivers , and swamps that is probably one of the highest otter populations in the US. For several years I pursued 'em hard. Now, I'll just share what I learned...when asked.

Too many steelhead fishermen on the river I trap to dry trap otter. A good drowner with a foothold does good but I have better results with body grips.

I'm just playin', lol. I can't say much, I feed my fish and deer too. But I've not started gardening for them.... yet anyways.

Glad you asked this Patrick!

May steal some of your ideas and the suggestions of your fans lol.

YT30,
Planting is cheaper (for the pound of food produced) than pouring feed out of a bag, but there is higher initial cost and a lot more work involved......plus there is the weather to deal with....too little rain...too much rain.

You should plant a plot or two. I get more enjoyment out of that than I do killing a deer. It's satisfying to ride around on my place and see deer and turkeys in the plots feeding.

If I owned the land.....I would be spending a lot more money.

It’s hotter than a fresh screwed sheep up here, but it’s not unexpected. It’s July for gods sake. These crazy weather people act like you’re supposed to hide inside lol. Ridiculous.
Been a wet spring/early summer. Just drying out pretty good.

Same here....typical summer.

103 to 105 heat index daily. Humidity is high as always. Afternoon thunderstorms around most days.

I see no difference from other summers in the South.
