Upper Silas. I wanted to go all the way up to Thumb but I wasn't sure a flatlander would make it. In hindsight, I should have gone to at least Island if not Thumb. No bears and just one crabby moose cow because I accidentally got to close to her calf in the willows. I was SURE the snort I heard was a bear. I needed fresh shorts after that.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Looks like you had a nice trip. I understand home is home just like I would never feel at home in total flat ground but there is beauty in flat country too!

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Thanks for the picture Rob, I'll get you a new hat. That reminds me of catching trout and grayling in the Wind River Mountains in the 70's when I was fighting fires and catching horses. Good times, beautiful country. Thank you. Tim

When I was 45 I thought I was bulletproof.......I was wrong. Official field tester of Federal Premium 3 1/2" magnum copper plated turkey loads.

The Wind Rivers is where I took this picture. I do have a new hat that I save for weddings and church but I didn't wear it on the hike. I know you are old, so I have to ask, the 1970's?...............
