warrior trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Georgia	Fossorial, meaning at or under ground level. They live in and under leaf litter, mulch, and loose boards or stuff lying in the yard. They thrive in urban flowerbeds and under mulches where they find snails, slugs, earthworms, and bugs. Very common with a huge native range over most all of the eastern US. Not to be confused with the Australian Brown snake with is much much bigger and highly venomous and an entirely different family of snakes.
