I finally got logged in so I better post these while I can. First trail cam checks today and based on the 12-15 bear pictures I had I would say the bears are hammering the neighbors corn about now. One of the pictures was this afternoon 12 minutes before I walked in there.

There are some nice bucks in there. Your bow season starts in a few weeks are you going after them?

No, I am not a stick and string guy. This guy is using the same bedding area (and trail) as the buck that I shot 2 years ago was.

It is too early to tell. I haven't even seen a good picture of his whole body yet to look at his back and such. He will pork out a little in the next 2 months on acorns and apples. Most of them that I shoot are in the 180-200 pound range. Mind you, most that I see will dress 140. My biggest dressed 234 but I didn't shoot that one off my home place. That was a Boundary Waters buck.

The pictures aren't loading for me, but I hope you have the rifle loaded.
Let me know if you need help dragging critters out of the brush.

There isn't a lot of agricultural land around here but there are a fair amount of Red Oak on my place and a bunch of apple trees. The neighbors have corn planted this year so that always draws them in. I like hunting bedding areas, the thickest, nastiest stuff I can find and have had good luck shooting bucks I have never seen before in there. I gave up on food plots and such years ago. This particular area in HEAVY willow, ash and Cedar. I mow shooting lanes but most of the good bucks will only cross them if on a hot doe. Most will circle around them.

Yes sir. This stand is a first rate son of a gun to get an animal out of. I pull out every bit of fat that I can before dragging. Some years I can float them out of there in an Otter sled. The water is usually about knee deep.

160,
That looks like a death valley setup with that shooting lane thru that rough. I like those type setups for rifle hunting.
