In a different thread it was brought up that women should not be allowed to vote and who should or should not be allowed to vote. Here is my simple take on that.
Politicians tax those that own property and business. Male, female, white, black, doesn't matter.
Politicians then take that money and buy votes by promising more "funding" for various social programs that are funded by the money generated/stolen from those who work and own property.
To be able to vote:
1. You must own property. 2. You must not be on ANY type of government assistance. 3. You must be 25.
I added the 25 because that seems to be when males pull their head out of their butt.
Those who are taxed should have complete say on how much they are taxed. Those who receive government benefits should have zero say in how much the tax payer is taxed via their vote. Those who don't own property vastly out number those who do.
Watch how the politicians change their tune when those who vote are only the ones who are taxed.
How many lies will people believe before they realize their own idiocy?

Does social security qualify as govt assistance in this scenario? If you pay 12 million in taxes every year but rent a house in NYC and another in San Francisco do you still not get a vote in this scenario?
25 seems like q good minimum age though ide prefer 30.

What seems fair enough is only requirement to vote is you are a US Citizen. That applies to ANY election.
What is not fair.......in fact FUBAR.........is the various mechanisms states are using to allow voting. Vote by mail at top of list........there is no election integrity whatsoever with vote by mail. None. Any name in the system, real or not, if a ballot is sent out in the mail, it can be harvested, marked up and returned, and will count. Most elections these days in states with significant vote by mail.....may have 10's of thousands of fraudulent votes cast statewide.......and nobody really knows how many. And in some states, they refuse to even look. Will fight tooth and nail to prevent anyone from even looking.
Now we find that even in person, integrity is suspect. News in the news.......O'Keefe group recently went to MN and were going to be allowed to vote based on one man's verbal confirmation that he knew the other guy.......no ID required. And he was not that voter......but was going to be given a ballot anyway. Then more recently, they went to Alaska and went to a polling place and said he was Lisa Murkowski's brother, and could he vote. No ID.......and was told yes.
Election fraud bigger problem than limiting which US citizens get to vote.
Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

Let's say a husband and a wife with four kids and both are in the military. With today's standard deduction and tax credits there is a good chance they may not have a tax liability. Are you guys saying they shouldn't be allowed to vote?

I take exception to your first requirement
1: you MUST OWN property to vote
People who rent ARE the ones paying the taxes. Also the mortgage and something for the landlords pocket.
My brother and his wife rent. He's retired Navy (24 years) Is 62 years old and still works. Raised 3 successful children and his wife is a school teacher. Thank God he votes!

^^^^ let’s just take it straight to the most extreme outlier lol I don't think it's all that extreme. With the way the child tax credits are/were set up a couple can make a decent amount of money before there is a tax liability.

I think it's safe to assume there could be some tweaking, maybe even incentives for those rasing kids in a married 2 parent household with some additional support/exceptions for widows

I'd be ok with military service qualifying you for a vote. Same here. Ultimate skin in the game. Maybe even make it a requirement to vote.

Speaking as a non veteran if we are going down this route only veterans should be allowed to vote.

I'm failing to understand why being in the military would provide wisdom in choosing leadership beyond what a civilian may possess.
