Looks like a great trip, but that certainly can't be the same Valdez Alaska we were told would never recover from the Exon Valdez oil spill back in 1989!!

It speaks to the validity of many gloom and doom prognostications, as well as the resilience of our natural ecosystems.

Veldez Town and eco system recovered pretty well. Town is very resilient as they recovered by moving whole town 4 miles after terrible earthquake in 1964. All the folks were super nice in Veldez, I glad it is many hours from Anchorage so it has a chance of staying the way it is . I drove and it is not a good road to be on if you are a flat lander.
