I'm looking to change up my land trapping gloves this year , Looking for Ideals like, Wells Lamont or NO-BS nitrile coated gloves.

I like big game gut gloves, the land trapping ones that are 12 inches. Funke trap tags and supplies has them for $15

I used Wells Lamont® Thermofill™-Lined Leather Palm Gloves the last 10 years or so I trapped coyote. They are great for folks who have arthritic hands and trap in cold weather.

I just have a pair of plain leather yellow work gloves. I wear them all summer doing stuff around our property. They form and fit well
By time trapping season rolls around. Mine are not insulated. When it gets super cold I have a pair of insulated leather work gloves for that.
Nothing fancy and not a scent thing I don’t buy into that never have but it’s more to protect my hands that’s all.

These are the best I've found, usgi combat gloves. I ordinarily hate gloves of any type and would prefer to set traps or any tool or machine use bare handed but these gloves are tight and thin enough to allow great feel without getting in the way.

I like the dipped ones like NO BS sells for set making and a pair of nitrile gloves for lure application.

I take all of the expired sterile gloves from the hospital too, from 1/2 size small to 1/2 size big so not buying nitriles very often

While I keep nitrile gloves for dealing with nasty, the way I sweat in this heat a few minutes of wearing nitrile/latex/vinyl and my hands are swimming in sweat.

Other than I use a different size. I recommend the 7 mil, the 5 mil are stretchier and go on easy, but most times I don't have the set finished before I've ripped one. The 7 mils on the other hand (no pun intended) I use on several sets until I think they might be contaminated, then they become my bait/lure gloves and I grab a new pair.

I'm like you, hate wearing gloves. When we had a September wolf season, my hands were swimming in the rubber gloves also, and they were one time use, because when you took them off all sweaty like that they weren't going back on. I like them because they are like a second skin and don't bother me near as much setting, but in the heat I used some thin stretchy, rubber dipped, cloth gloves that my uncle gave me from the laborers union that worked well. But always figured I used them too long before switching pairs and they might get contaminated.

I buy the three pack from Home Depot. The larges come with a pair of gray, a pair of red and a pair of yellow colored gloves. I buy several sets and use one color (last year it was yellow) for all my land trapping. That way I'm not handling anything but traps with them. If one set gets wet I switch to another pair. My side by side has a cross bed tool box with clean traps and snares and several pairs of gloves. If it's wet out I'll wear a pair of rubberized gloves but really don't like them.

I've gone the expensive glove route a few times and they seem to wear out just as fast as the cheaper gloves. The HD gloves seem to last fairly well, though I always wear out the right glove first so I have a big pile of good left hand gloves. If any of you have a bunch of the right hand gloves and you've worn out the left ones, let me know. I'll happily buy the intact right handed gloves. I suspect it is because I'm left handed and missing the middle finger tip on my left hand that I wear out the right glove first. And almost always the middle finger tip of the right glove that wears through.
