Read on Facebook this regulation was inspired by some groups of nonresident hunters who would camp on public land for days at a time which prevented waterfowl from getting a break and filtering back onto those pieces of water.

Yeah like others have said it only applies to waterfowl hunting on certain state run properties.

The lack of common sense in this world will drive a guy to drinking.

I think our game commission manages for $$$, especially if it goes in outfitters hands.

Well to be fair the large land owner farming operations make a good bit of coin off the resources as well?

kdwp has been screwing up all the deer hunting regs. for instance the oos hunters I deal with have purchased hundreds of acres and put it in LLC. this past yr kdwp made it to if oos land is in an llc they still have to draw a tag to hunt the acres they own. change that land back out of an llc and like magic they are able to go buy otc tags per every 80 acres. I don't see the benefit for anyone other than title and abstract companys. I could care less as a resident but seems extremely frustrating for oos guys.

I live in southeast kansas and have hunted waterfowl for all of my life. The amount of nonresident waterfowl hunters on public land has gotten so crazy that I haven't hunted the last 2 seasons on public land. Every public spot with ducks on it will have out of state vehicles parked on it well before daylight. Kansas has very little public land compared to most states. I just read an article that said that over 50 percent of the hunters on public land are from out of state. Going hunting looses it's fun when you almost get in a fight over a duck.

Between the out of staters and all the outfitters its getting hard to find places to hunt in kansas. Sure theres public, but alot of it gets hunted. Had out of staters hunting out of my stand during the rut years ago. Sure it was legal but not very ethical. Waited at the truck, soon as he came out i went and yanked the stand. On a side not....if anyone in kansas has a place a fella can bowhunt.....let me know.
