Used to use a 30-06 for deer hunting. Quit because I felt it is to large of a caliber.

Sounds like he needs an h&r rifled single shot 10 g. That should set him up.

concentrate on hitting the target , bore sighting is to get you on paper at 30 feet and should be used for nothing else and frankly a big sheet of cardboard works better at 25 unless your mount is messed up it should be on the carboard.

you need a tape measure for every 1/4 inch you are off a direction at 25 yards move the turret 1 minute.
fire a round make sure you are on the cardboard
fire 2 more to make sure you actually have a group and not a pattern.
