Our legislators are trying to price the average person out. When license sales get below a certain point, they will just get rid of the trapping program because it will cost more to run then revenue it generates.

That was the game commissions rationale for getting rid of lion trapping.

First thing would be eliminating jobs for trapping program people….they are the parasites, there’s no way trappers should have to provide a job for anyone.

By trapping program, I mean offering a trapping license. We only have 1 fur bearer biologist position for the stare. It would be nice to get a bio that supports trapping.

Alaska treats it's old trappers (over 60 years old) quite well.

Lifetime, permanent Hunting, Trapping and Fishing is FREE.

I'm no math expert, but to me that seems like a pretty good deal.

40 for residents 200 nonresidents

under 18 5 for both residents and nonresidents

Never have to but it again.Now have my Maine lifetime licenses.

Trapping is considered "commercial". There is no "recreational" trapping license in Georgia.



Non-resident bond is $2500, so if you used a bond agent, you'd probably have to pay 10% of that to the agent....so, add that $250 to your NR Georgia trapping license.

Non-residents can trap in Minnesota; but only on land they personally own, not on any other private or public grounds.

I looked that up and I think you made a typo. Resident trapping License for Tennessee is $16


It is just as I suspected; Oregon has the country's most expensive trapping license. I do get my pioneer hunting and fishing licenses for $5 though 'cuz I'm an old fart that's lived my whole life here. They don't do that for Trapping licenses though.

And we get a FREE State Duck Stamp and Free King Salmon Tag with our Free License. The only thing we pay for when we reach 60 years of age is for a Federal Duck Stamp. Then you can do anything you want.

If you are under 60 years of age, it's about $92 for Hunting, Fishing and Trapping, then add more money for any tags or stamps you need or want, like a King tag, both Federal and State duck stamps, etc.

Been that way for some time. Can't say for sure when that was changed.

Easy solution for you Angela. Just buy up about 100,000 acres of prime Minnesota furbearer habitat.
