Burned up my third food processor. I didnt even cheap out on this last one and still only lasted as long as the cheapos! Ninja my a**!

Whats everyone having luck with?

I dont even use it much. Once or twice a year for some glands. Maybe a couple gallons annually.

I bought a used ninja off ebay for about a 1/3 of the price of new . I haven't used it too hard but im not put as much when it does burns out. I do freeze my glands and coarse grind them first before they go in the processor.

My Goodwill Processor. Came with 2 plastic blades, they are good for mixing only!

It also comes with a large, serrated SS blade. I thought it has going to work great? But those serrates would grab ahold of all the fibers and just make a big root ball mess, shake like crazy!!!

My solution was to file All the serrations off and make it a smooth sharp blade! Works much better now.

Also, pre grinding and or cutting into shorter chunks is essential. Long stringy materials will just wrap up like string. I really like mine now!!

I haven't had much luck with food processers on glands, tend to just ball up like Mark said, or if I freeze them and hand chop them into small chunks, it just rattles the chunks around and rounds the edges off. Of course, I went with thrift store specials, but the blades seem sharp and I amazingly haven't burnt one up. Probably because I get frustrated with them not doing what I want and quit using them.

Using a food processor for glands is not a productive venture. Best results will come from grinding/cutting/chopping them down to the desired size/texture. Once glands have been handled/aged in that manner, if you wish to puree them better, a processor would work fine.

Fresh tissue will not work well as stated. It will wrap up into your knife/blades and not much cutting will be done.

Aged "chopped up into small pieces" of gland material in a processor will work out much better. Adding a fluid of your choice to help with the blending process.

I always coarse grind my glands first.

Chill them down good than run them through the processor.

They do a good job (the processors), just would like to find one that works for more than two years!
