Yes, a day. If I did do it I want it low enough for a couple of people. The is more to the ranch but these two spots would be the very best to let someone hunt.
Odds are pretty good for success for a 130 to 150 class buck. The thing is if arranged with upland game hunting and some fishing which would only be the cost of license to the person it could make a fun week. A clean one room cabin with wood stove would be roughing it but better then a tent.

It would be very hard for me to charge anything to any of you folks here on TM. It is hard enough to ask anyone for money to hunt but I could easier for someone I don't know.

I will think about it and may give it a try for just one week next year. I needed to ask what some views were to ponder the idea.

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Me either but I would pay to stay at a cabin in Montana, hunt a bit, fish a bit and just enjoy the company of one other person I liked while relaxing

I cant imagine paying to kill about anything.

But every year thousands and thousands of people do! And a heck of a lot more than a couple hundred bucks a day!

Its not paying for the kill its paying for the lodging and access to area.

Myself I care less about whitetail or large racks on my wall. But I would gladly pay for lodging and access to new country and experiences in the new area. Heck small game and fishing while exploring new to me land/ area would well be worth what he is talking about charging for use of his line cabin.

Its more primitive that what I was renting when I was taking my kids on out of state youth whitetail deer hunts. But again those were not so much about killing deer we have them in the back yard. It was about a dad and boys trip hunting a new to us area. Geting out west and a complete new area is something that greatly appealing to me.
Unfortunately im not sure how well my body will do what my mind thinks it can these days. That includes walking in uneven ground and shooting a bow. Ability varies by the day/hour at times.

I would love to see snowy generat some additional income off his assets.

I can, but I’d have to be a species that didn’t exist for me to hunt for free. That said, I can’t believe what guys pay to hunt whitetails.

People who like to hunt and have the dollars but can't or don't get the time to do so, will pay lots of cash to have a
at least favorable hunt, by that I mean at least getting a shot off !!

I don't begrudge them for paying or try to make it sound like its some sort of royalty game either !!

We have lots of people pay for tags here and outfitters for mule deer, because they have never had that opportunity to
do so. Same with Alaska hunting big bears and fishing LOL or any other states for that matter, birds as well, even trapping

I paid 2500.00 twice in 3 years time to hunt Whitetail in Montana with a guide outfit, cause I could do so, and I would not have the time to do my self, was told I would see game every day, first time did see game, but I wasn't after a spike or some two year old deer
Outfitter said it's s time thing LOL, spend more time get more chances, my hunting time was five days, I never did see a large buck worth of that fee to bring home, could have had meat for sure, but I was hunting antlers, big difference.
Told him would give him a second chance in a year or so ! He told me I will make sure you see what you wish next time , LOL

Two years later back at the same place different time thing more cold, he remembered me, personally guided me, which made no difference, LOL last day of the hunt one buck almost dark, to far away to be a honest shot, let him pass, was that on me or his area ?

I had a great time disappointed with the money spent, yes a bit, probably could have been cheaper, would I have been successful then, don't know, my hobby business paid for it, it's why I save up from it, to do these hunts !! Still do not have a nice Whitetail on my wall yet, still want one to LOL, would I spend less the next time, guess it depends of the area, the time of year and the people one deals with, did I check his background and call on other hunters who used him yes, would like to do another, but doubt that will happen prices are way out there now, for what I wish to spend !

Just saying that it's up to what you wish to pay for what you wish to see or hunt, but even that doesn't make it happen all the time

Bunch of spoiled whitetail hunters commenting about not paying to hunt deer. If hunting whitetails means much to you....you'll pay in some fashion in the Southern US.

Here, you either own the land or you lease....for quality deer hunting. My definition of quality = un-pressured deer, older age class of bucks, good deer numbers, few or no human activity after you leave and until you return.

You could hunt public land if you don't mind some road miles and other hunters. I hunt public some, but its usually only low quota, antler restricted areas and some unique habitat areas like Georgia's coastal islands.

It's cool to be able to see the Atlantic Ocean from your stand or sit in a stand at the salt marsh edge that overlooks a tidal creek and have a couple bottlenose dolphins swim under you blowing air as they hunt and a few minutes later arrow a large 9pt at 15 yds that was walking the marsh edge eating live oak acorns.

Yes things are always changing, and not always for the best, and more so when $$$ is the driving factor

The views of the Atlantic Ocean can be had on a quota hunt on either Sapelo Island or Ossabaw Island. Both are state WMAs.

What is the access to the land outside the 80 and 46 acres? Would a hunter be able to recover the game if it got off the area that they were allowed to hunt or would it just be lost because obviously that could severely limit what of the land that they could actually hunt especially since it is archery only.

The price you quoted though sounds more than fair for what you are providing, which ultimately is an experience more than just a whitetail hunt. Which to me is worth a lot, when I go somewhere else to hunt it is not about killing a deer though if I am deer hunting I want to kill one as an added benefit of the hunt it is about the experience. I can shoot deer off my porch but my porch is not on the Yellowstone River if you get what I mean.
