Completed 2.3 acres (4 plots) of rye, oats, crimson clover plots today. Some of them also have pt rutabagas and radishes in them.

Got 1.7 acres (4 more plots) yet to plant this week.

Here are pics of 3 of them....

Had a small bear (probably about 150 to 200 lbs) walk by the feeder pictured above a couple days ago....glad he didn't damage the feeder. He ate a little corn and moved on.

I would need your money to fence 400 acres.

He can't knock that feeder over. It's hurricane proof.

He could damage the spinner though.

No camera on that feeder. Most all cameras on scrapes at this time.

Don't have public land all around me. And I like to go hunt when I want to go, so a long drive to see other hunters is not my cup of tea.

2 miles down the road from my residence.

Plus, I get as much or more enjoyment from riding the tractor working plots, mowing trails, etc than I do killin' deer.

But when I decide to kill one I like a quiet, people-free sit.

Hmm...a retired state employee...with a lot of money?

Just paid off most purchases and only blew money on hunting.

I bowhunt a lot more than rifle hunt.

The "farming" is a way to give back to the game you hunt instead of always just taking.

You ever give back? How?

Most likely will not be but a couple deer shot in the food plots...and probably by my son and DIL.
