Made up some new boxes. Anyone else targeting them this year?

We will definitely set some boxes out.
We sure don't have them like we used to, but hopefully the kids can catch a couple.

I used to take a fair amount each year but our population has been completely gone the last 5-10 years. I always had one that lived in the pole barn and another in one of the deer stands and they just vanished. If I saw tracks of one now I would try to avoid catching it. I still have a pile of boxes in the rafters and maybe someday I will get to use them again.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Boxes work great for weasels.
I target weasels by waxing all my 120s so I catch every weasel that visits the box.[Linked Image]

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

MjJag, how many kids do you have? And how old are they?

I've got four. Aged 10, 7, 4, and 2. It sure is fun to trap with them.

I built a few for myself as well as donating some to Missesota Trappers Association. We usually donate a few to the kids at every meeting as well as sell some at our conventions for legal defense fund. Our first year of doing this but so far it has shown some strong interest.

I got back into trapping with the idea of not making any money and so far have been quite successful.

There's not many animals that are more fun to trap than weasels.

Grandkids are so much fun. We should have had them first.
