Truth is you have to be really unlucky to get in trouble being a scammer you can steal millions before they even look for you.

CC company called me one time. Someone in Bangkok had tried to use my CC# to put $12.50 credit on a Starbucks card. Seriously. The next time they tried it it would have been big. The first one was just a Trial. I dont understand what they have to lose by not going big right off the bat? They apparently dont know how much money they are going for so why not? My bank told me they will sometimes try a small-value test shot once they have your CC or debit card numbers. It has happened to me. Last time though a scammer got my business debit card numbers and purchased over $1,500.00 worth of tools at two Home Depots in Florida. I'm in PA. No test shot that time. My bank is pretty good with that stuff though. I had them shut the card down and they issued me "provisional credit" until they figured it out.
Eh...wot?

One reason your bank card should say Visa on it so you’re covered for fraud.

My debits are Mastercards but I've never dealt with the company, my bank handled everything the three or four times I was scammed over the last twenty-plus years.

What are you buying how much are you spending, one time my bank called me asking if I just used my card at Best Buy so ya sometimes they are watching you. You’re still on camera even if you don’t see them watching you, big purchases naturally attract more attention. Maybe your a small fish it takes a big purchase to become a big fish or a lot of card swipes. I know when I travel I have to enter my zip code to pump gas when I’m out of town. Nobody is going risk stopping a person for a small purchase it’s not worth it.

When scammer call ask them to loan you some money. Just keep begging them. They will leave you alone.
God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

I enjoy leading them on at least I get the satisfaction of jerking them around instead or it being me or someone else.

I keep getting calls asking if I want to sell my house, I say sure (then I name a price about 2X value). I say "you have my address, send me a signed purchase and sale agreement and 5% earnest money". They then hang up.
