Found out I have a 4.1 cm retrocellebellar arachnoid cyst that I have to get removed. Is it morbid that my first thought is to have the neurosurgeon save it for me to make a lure?
Any one ever make a lure/bait out of things removed from their bodies? I seem to recall reading that Toad Smith asked his Doc for a piece of his heart, ( valve replacement maybe?) and he caught a catfish on it.

Not sure about your doctor or hospital policy's. I had to sign some papers and do a bunch of messing around to get my hip joint when they replaced my hip. My brother in-law just had a knee replacement and they wouldn't let him have that joint bone. I don't know about using something like that for lure? First I ask the doctor if they even let you take it being considered medical waste.

Well, the idea seems a little off to me but if you are trapping man eaters, go for it.

Get yourself stuffed by a taxidermist. Then you can be useful as a hat rack by the door.

I seem to recall reading that Toad Smith asked his Doc for a piece of his heart, ( valve replacement maybe?) and he caught a catfish on it. Found it. "Six years ago, after a valve was removed from his diseased heart, Toad asked the doctors for the tissue. They gave it to him in a jar. When he became strong enough to fish, he used his heart for bait and caught a 6-pound catfish. ''What else was I going to do with it?'' Toad grumbled."
