Found out I have a 4.1 cm retrocellebellar arachnoid cyst that I have to get removed. Is it morbid that my first thought is to have the neurosurgeon save it for me to make a lure?

Any one ever make a lure/bait out of things removed from their bodies?

Not familiar with the medical term. Hope it is not cancer. Good to get it out.

I seem to recall reading that Toad Smith asked his Doc for a piece of his heart, ( valve replacement maybe?) and he caught a catfish on it.

Not sure about your doctor or hospital policy's. I had to sign some papers and do a bunch of messing around to get my hip joint when they replaced my hip. My brother in-law just had a knee replacement and they wouldn't let him have that joint bone. I don't know about using something like that for lure? First I ask the doctor if they even let you take it being considered medical waste.

Well, the idea seems a little off to me but if you are trapping man eaters, go for it.

Told the wife and son when I die put me in a wood chipper and grind me up for bear bait. We could go on one last bear hunt. Not going to happen I'm guessing.

They would not let us keep my wifes toe... Something about medical waste

Doc asked why I wanted it and just shook his head when I replied " Conversation piece, Do you Have a toe in a Jar?"

Get yourself stuffed by a taxidermist.
Then you can be useful as a hat rack by the door.

Found it.

"Six years ago, after a valve was removed from his diseased heart, Toad asked the doctors for the tissue. They gave it to him in a jar. When he became strong enough to fish, he used his heart for bait and caught a 6-pound catfish.

''What else was I going to do with it?'' Toad grumbled."

When you die, get cremated and have one of your buddies load your ashes into shells. Hand them out to all your buddies and go hunting one last time in your favorite spots.

My wife fell 10 days ago, broke her hip and had to have emergency hip replacement. I wanted the bone they cut off, until I started thinking about having to scrape off wife meat. Turns out I do have a limit on doing gross things.
