k snow trapper K Joined: Oct 2009 east central WI	They used to do it at most of the airshows I went to in the 90s. Always moving to see that. The most impressive were the old warbirds at EAA.

Saskfly trapper S Joined: Nov 2018 Ontario	Unfortunately, participated in the formation and as a pallbearer for some military funerals over the years. Lots of traditions to honour Sqn mates, this is one of the most visible.

wytex trapper Joined: Feb 2020 Wyoming	Yes, a good friend's Dad who was a jet test pilot was killed in a crash while we were in high school. They did the formation at his funeral. It was very touching. I think of her, and her Father every time I go to an airshow now.

It is us usually done with four aircraft but as low as two and six or more. I believe the Thunderbirds do their formation with six Jets. An old man roaming the Rockies
