Does anyone have some pictures of sets for any type of animal that new trappers (such as me) can see to better understand different sets?

If so, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!!

Do some digging in the archives, there's a wealth of information there. [Linked Image]

For starters, here's a marten box nailed to a pole with a #120 guarding a grouse head. Also a dive pole set (great otter set, also takes any beaver that are around). And the results of a dive pole set

I have lived in Alaska my entire life. I have been trapping for 2 years, but I am mostly self-taught. Just looking for expert advice.

If you can, sit down with a local trapper, that has a good reputation, at a coffee shop or something. Once you start laying steel, the questions will really start flying!…lol
Archives is good too. It’s a steep learning curve, but you’ll learn something everyday. 3 years later, you’ll read something you learned when started but completely forgot about, because you didn’t really understand it or why you do it a certain way.
