If you can, sit down with a local trapper, that has a good reputation, at a coffee shop or something. Once you start laying steel, the questions will really start flying!…lol Archives is good too. It’s a steep learning curve, but you’ll learn something everyday. 3 years later, you’ll read something you learned when started but completely forgot about, because you didn’t really understand it or why you do it a certain way.

I have lived in Alaska my entire life. I have been trapping for 2 years, but I am mostly self-taught. Just looking for expert advice. You are looking in the right place coming to this site. There are some excellent trappers on here willing to share their knowledge.
As an American I'm growing tired of our ancestors being compared to the migrants of today.
